Robbie never asked for any of this. While drunkenly walking home from a punk show, he's hit with lightning and wakes to find that he's been chosen as the new host for The Mantle, a power set of unimaginable scope. Despite his lack of interest, he's forced into action. The Plague, a being who has spent 50 years killing every previous host of The Mantle, is already coming for him.
Though largely inaccessible, the geochemistry of Earth's mantle and core can be examined through a wide variety of approaches. Volume 2 focuses first on "remote" sensing using evidence from cosmochemical, seismic, petrologic and geochemical approaches. Mantle composition is then examined in detail through descriptions of mantle samples brought to Earth's surface through tectonic, volcanic, and volatile-outgassing processes. The volume concludes with examination of processes that modify the composition of the mantle and core including an early magma ocean, partial melting, element partitioning between minerals and melts, and physical mixing caused by plate subduction, mantle convection and mass exchange between mantle and core. Reprinted individual volume from the acclaimed Treatise on Geochemistry, (10 Volume Set, ISBN 0-08-043751-6, published in 2003) Comprehensive and authoritative scope and focus Reviews from renowned scientists across a range of subjects, providing both overviews and new data, supplemented by extensive bibliographies Extensive illustrations and examples from the field
Authoritative review of composition, structure and evolution of the mantle for researchers and graduate students.
Lessons in the Anointing from the Life of Elisha. The chapters in this book correspond to events and relationships in the life of Elisha, an Old Testament prophet, and successor to Elijah. The title reflects the transfer of power and authority in the Holy Spirit as Elisha takes up the mantle of Elijah and uses the anointing in ministry to others. These events and relationships become examples of how the Holy Spirit's anointing works in believers today.
The history of past Mantles is explored and the horror of The Plague's path of destruction is fully unveiled.

The Mantle is not the gift that it may have originally been made out to be. Sure, it's cool to be able to fly and to be part of a superhero team...but it's not cool to have an indestructible, intergalactic bad-ass hellbent on your death!
The term mantle has inspired philosophers, geographers, and theologians and shaped artists’ and mapmakers’ visual vocabularies for thousands of years. According to Veronica della Dora, mantle is the “metaphor par excellence, for it unfolds between the seen and the unseen as a threshold and as a point of tension.” Featuring numerous illustrations, The Mantle of the Earth: Genealogies of a Geographical Metaphor is an intellectual history of the term mantle and its metaphorical representation in art and literature, geography and cartography. Through the history of this metaphor from antiquity to the modern day, we learn about shifting perceptions and representations of global space, about our planetary condition, and about the nature of geography itself.

What is a Mantle in the Bible? There are a lot of different meanings and interpretations of what a mantle is in the Bible; however, the main idea of a mantle is a covering, also known as a cloak or other pieces of clothing. Within the New American Standard Bible uses the word "mantle" in Joshua 7:21 and Hebrews 1:12. In a passage, the ESV translates the word mantle as a "cloak" and, in the latter, "robe." In biblical times, a mantle was typically described as a large, loosely fitting garment made of animal skin, most likely sheepskin. There are several people that are mentioned within the Bible as wearing a mantle, including Job (Job 1:20) and Ezra (Ezra 9:5).Dive in and let us examine the topic together, I can guarantee that God will give you his own interpretation by the end of this book.
