Errol Flynn set the standard for the modern action hero in films like The Adventures of Robin Hood, Dodge City, and The Sea Hawk. This biography follows Flynn from his birth in Tasmania, Australia, in 1909, to his death in Vancouver, Canada, in 1959. Included is analysis of his films, discussion of the 1943 rape trial that changed his life, a survey of the FBI's infamous surveillance, and the first detailed account of his television appearances in the 1950s. First-hand interviews with Flynn's friends and colleagues are complemented by research from FBI files, correspondence, Flynn's diary, and other sources. Illustrated with rare and previously unpublished photographs, the study also gives attention to the historical backgrounds and cultural influences that contributed to Flynn's fame; the work takes an objective and analytical look at the actor's adventurous life. The study includes two appendices: the first is a collection of quotations from various celebrities, from memories of his talent and style to anecdotes about his wild pool parties. The second appendix is a filmography including all Flynn's work for film, stage, and television, with cast and crew information.

How to Measure the Sexuality of Men & Women by Their Facial Features

The influence of your facial features on other people begins the moment you are born -- from how you are going to be treated for the rest of your life, to the level of happiness and success you are likely to achieve. As you grow into adulthood, the size, shape and quality of your facial features also send out subliminal signals about your inborn sexual nature. In this provocative handbook, internationally known author and face-reader Boye Lafayette De Mente provides valuable insights and useful do's and don'ts in the selection of playmates and lifemates.

Mandarin

This little village, called by some a paradise, had four names prior to Calvin Read naming it Mandarin for a type of citrus fruit in 1830. Until the freezes of the late 1800s, the citrus industry was the most important driver in the local economy. Timber, turpentine, and farming also provided income and work for families in the area. Mandarin has boasted several outstanding individuals, but one person stands out above the rest--Harriet Beecher Stowe. She and her husband, Calvin, bought property along the St. Johns River in 1867 and wintered there until 1884, making many positive impacts on the community, including the establishment of a school for Black and white children and an Episcopal church. In the 20th century, remarkable figures include Charles M. "Charlie" Brown, a famous potter and lifelong resident of Mandarin, and world-class pianist and composer Hans Barth.
