Witness to Roswell, 75th Anniversary Edition

“When I finished Witness to Roswell, I said to myself, ‘Case closed!’ for the very wealth and sheer weight of eyewitness testimony.”—George Noory, host, Coast to Coast AM This classic in the field of UFOology is filled with hard-hitting eyewitness testimony of one of the most important events of all time: the actual recovery of a UFO outside of Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. For more than 70 years, government authorities have led us to believe the wreckage was merely a very conventional weather balloon—but the witnesses who were there continue to tell a different story. Witness to Roswell once again provides a "can't put down" written account of what really transpired in Roswell d...

Due to government secrecy, the public never learned of the numerous UFO incursions at strategic nuclear weapons installations where they disabled ICBM missiles and even activated their launch codes. They never heard about UFO encounters reported by police officers, civilian and military pilots and astronauts, and they were never told the real facts of the Roswell event. The volume of evidence suggesting we are not alone, and probably never have been, is overwhelming. It suggests an alien agenda to accelerate the evolution of the human race. To understand what is happening requires knowledge of what is going on today as well as the past, particularly during the biblical era. Much has been learned through the Freedom of Information Act, from whistleblowers, and government and military officials. This book connects the dots suggesting what aliens have been doing for the past several thousand years.

Thomas Hobbes, the English 17th century philosopher, and Carl Schmitt, Hitler’s ‘crown jurist’, a political thinker and author of an enigmatic book on Hobbes, are increasingly relevant today for two reasons. First, they address the problem of political order, so important when we witness failed states, the privatisation of war, and the rise of political violence that does not derive from the state. Secondly, they are both crucial sources for the use of mythology in politics; moreover, they address the key issue of our time, namely, the relation between politics and religion. This collection of important new essays addresses Hobbes and Schmitt as political thinkers, their importance for present-day politics and society, their conceptions of myth and politics, and Schmitt’s use of Hobbes in (and some say against) the Third Reich. When myth, violence and revelation re-emerge as political forces, it is important to understand Hobbes’s and Schmitt’s answers to the problems of their time – and to those of ours. This book was based on a special issue of the Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy.
