Spaces of Neoliberalization
In these essays, David Harvey searches for adequate conceptualizations of space and of uneven geographical development that will help to understand the new historical geography of global capitalism. The theory of uneven geographical development needs further examination: The extreme volatility in contemporary political economic fortunes across and between spaces of the world economy cries out for better historical-geographical analysis and theoretical interpretation. The political necessity is just as urgent since social inequalities have increased in recent decades. Fiscal crises have cascaded across much of the developing world with devastating results from Mexico to Indonesia, Russia and Argentina. Simultaneously, the different oppositional movements to neoliberalism create both opportunities and barriers in the search for alternatives. Harvey shows that this search needs to be supported by a deeper theoretical understanding of the roles of space and uneven geographical development in shaping the world around us. .

How to Do Things with Narrative
This volume combines narratological analyses with an investigation of the ideological ramifications of the use of narrative strategies. Simpozija ICTM Študijske skupine za etnokoreologijo, 29. julij–5. avgust 2022, Brežice, Slovenija') vsebuje izbor prispevkov, predstavljenih na 32. simpoziju ICTM Študijske skupine za etnokoreologijo, osrednji mednarodni konferenci s področja etnokoreologije, plesne antropologije in sorodnih disciplin, ki je potekal v Brežicah od 25. julija do 5. avgusta 2022. Geographies of Science
This collection of essays aims to further the understanding of historical and contemporary geographies of science. It offers a fresh perspective on comparative approaches to scientific knowledge and practice as pursued by geographers, sociologists, anthropologists, and historians of science. The authors explore the formation and changing geographies of scientific centers from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries and critically discuss the designing of knowledge spaces in early museums, in modern laboratories, at world fairs, and in the periphery of contemporary science. They also analyze the interactions between science and the public in Victorian Britain, interwar Germany, and recent environmental policy debates. The book provides a genuine geographical perspective on the production and dissemination of knowledge and will thus be an important point of reference for those interested in the spatial relations of science and associated fields.
