I Wrote This Last Period is a book full of short stories. Even more so filled with an infinite amount of talent and emotions. From cover to cover, this book will have you on the most interesting and entertaining rollercoaster you have ever experienced. From daring adventures and sorrowful tragedies, to non-stop comedy and meaningful metaphors, it is impossible not to find a story or two fit for your personality. Now, keep in mind that every one of these enticing pieces has been written by 60 or so high school juniors from Norwalk High School. Dont let that fact deter you from reading these exceptional stories, as it should only add to the amazement that a group of 16 year-olds wrote a book of such uniqueness.
Different Accounts
Karl Tycho, a divorced, low-keyed economist in his 50's, is employed by a commercial bank in Manhattan, and finds it hard to adjust to the competitive nature of his new assignment. When he loses an important account, he is promptly fired. Just how he lost his most important customer, however, is a mystery; and the story behind it is one of financial deal-making, broken friendships, and conflicting personalities. Among them are Laura, the blunt boss who fires Karl without remorse; Roy, the wealthy and eccentric client whose money means everything to Karl's department at the bank; and Tim, the archetypal aggressive Wall Street executive.
