Women on Top

A classic work on how women think about sex, from the New York Times–bestselling author of My Secret Garden and My Mother/Myself. Nancy Friday’s groundbreaking books such as Forbidden Flowers offered an unprecedented honest look at the inner fantasy lives of ordinary women. In Women on Top, Friday returns to this topic, collecting detailed sexual fantasies from over 150 contemporary women from diverse backgrounds. Based on intimate personal interviews and letters, this book updates the conversation started in her earlier works on women’s sexual fantasies, detailing how women’s erotic lives have changed—and remained the same. “This absorbing, titillating and empowering feminist book is also a ribald bedside companion.” —Publishers Weekly

Ayoade on Top

Richard Ayoade - in this foren, perhaps one of the most 'insubstantial' people of our age, takes us on a journey from Peckham to Paris by way of Nevada and other places we don't care about. It's a journey deep within, in a way that's respectful and non-invasive; a journey for which we will all pay a heavy price, even if you've waited for the smaller paperback edition. Ayoade argues for the canonisation of this brutal masterpiece, a film that celebrates capitalism in all its victimless glory; one we might imagine Donald Trump himself half-watching on his private jet's gold-plated flat screen while his other puffy eye scans the cabin for fresh, young prey."

Thierry Henry

"Thierry Henry -- gifted, charismatic and a genuinely world class footballer -- has always been a prolific goalscorer of natural, apparently effortless brilliance. Impossibly good on his day, he has passed into Arsenal legend as the hero of a team that finally ended Manchester United's domination, winning two league titles and three FA cups. He was also instrumental in France's World Cup and European Cup glories in 1998 and 2000 (becoming France's record goalscorer), and continued his incredibly successful career at Barcelona by winning the treble in his second season. But as he approached the autumn of his career, Thierry's crown began to slip -- from the infamous 'Hand of Gaul' incident to a dismal World Cup 2010 campaign. Suddenly, for the first time, a player who Arsene Wenger once dubbed 'the greatest striker ever' was not universally loved and admired. A man who had spent his career at the very top of the game, raised above his peers on a torrent of extraordinary statistics and trophies, began to learn how lonely such a position could be. So who is the real Thierry Henry? ..." --Book jacket.

Muffin Top (A BBW Romantic Comedy)

The only thing about me that’s a size zero is the filter on my mouth. I’ve got a big personality, a big rack, and a big number on the scale. And I’m perfectly fine with that. But when some random guy suggests I might not be eating alone if I’d ordered a salad instead of a hamburger I’m shocked silent, which is a feat, trust me. That brings us to one sexy fireman named Frankie Hartigan. He’s hot. He’s funny... And he’s just apologized for being late for our “date” then glared at the fat-shaming jerk. Next thing I know, he’s sitting down and ordering himself dinner. I have no problem telling him I don’t need a pity date...unless of course it’s to my high school reunion next week. Oops where did that last bit come from? And what do I do now that he’s said yes?! Because this is no make-over story, and I think Frankie is using me for something. I just have to figure out what... Each book in the Hartigans series is STANDALONE: * Butterface * Muffin Top * Tomboy

The black and white photographs in the book were all made in an area less than half a mile square in Blackburn during 2019 and 2020. Working with a large-format wooden field camera, Easton spent long days and weeks in the neighbourhood talking to residents and sometimes making pictures. The project melds image and text -- Easton's portraiture and landscapes combined with poetry and an essay by Aziz Hafiz and with the testimonies of residents. This long-form collaboration acknowledges the issues and impacts of social deprivation, housing, unemployment, immigration and representation, as well as past and present foreign policy. The result is a collective and nuanced portrait of the town -- a sensitive response to the oversimplistic representation of such communities in both the media and by government, which deny the right of Bank Top to tell its own story
