In 1933 a group of theological students in Berlin asked Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Hermann Sasse to work together with other theologians to come up with a confession that could be used to challenge nazi ideology and its inroads into the church bodies of Germany through the so-called "German Christians" who wanted to reshape Christianity into a worship of German ethnicity. The result was the August Bethel Confession named after the town in which Sasse and Bonhoeffer worked together. Nordic businesses on climate transition, competitiveness and growth
In order to investigate how climate efforts and competitiveness are connected in the Nordic region, CEO's and top management of some of the leading companies in the five countries have been interviewed. According to the interviews, the Nordic region can contribute to reaching the Paris Agreement. Climate change is top of mind of CEOs, chairs and top-level management in Nordic companies, and contributing to reaching global climate goals is not only altruistic. Almost all companies say that climate efforts can boost competitiveness. There is strong support for the Nordic region to be front runners in global climate efforts and acting together to push the EU to adapt more ambitious climate policies. The interviewed companies have approximately 540 000 employees. The aggregated revenue of the companies is around 200 billion EUR, corresponding to 17 percent of the GDP of the Nordic region.

Simul
This volume introduces an important concept which hitherto has not gotten the recognition it deserves. The concept simul, the idea of a both-and in theology, is primarily associated with the Lutheran understanding of justification. The formula simul iustus et peccator is a shorthand for the nucleus and heart of the Reformation. But the concept, which implies a tension or even a paradox, appears to play a significant role in other areas of theological reflection. This volume highlights a number of areas in which this idea historically has played an important role, as well as its potential in the contemporary conversation. The aim of the work is to provide an informed and readable introduction to the simul concept in various areas of systematical theology and Biblical exegesis.
Die „Confessio Augustana“ im ökumenischen Gespräch
Im Jahr 2030 jährt sich zum 500. Mal die Verlesung und Überreichung der "Confessio Augustana", der wichtigsten Bekenntnisschrift der evangelischen, Wittenberger Bewegung, an Kaiser Karl V. Von Melanchthon als letzter Versuch verfasst, die Einheit des westlichen Christentums zu erhalten und zugleich die überfälligen Reformen zu verteidigen, wurde sie damals ein Dokument der Spaltung. Schon 1980, dem 450. Jubiläum, wurde vor dem Hintergrund der gewachsenen ökumenischen Bewegung von Theologen intensiv diskutiert, ob es heute möglich sei, einen ökumenischen Zugang zur CA zu finden. Was damals nicht erfolgreich war, könnte nunmehr nach den neueren ökumenischen Erfahrungen im Jahr 2030 möglich sein. Internationale und anerkannte Theologen versuchen in ihren Beiträgen nicht nur eine ökumenische Relektüre der einzelnen Artikel der CA, sondern auch systematische Perspektiven aufzuzeigen. So wird etwa deutlich, dass "Anerkennung" (recognition), ein wichtiger Begriff in den gegenwärtigen ökumenischen Dialogen, von erheblicher Bedeutung für die Frage einer ökumenischen Annäherung an die CA darstellt.
