Crevices of the Historical Materialism in the Spanish Economic History
This article gives a broad sweep to the influence of historical materialism on Spanish economic history. A demand and supply analysis shows that during the sixties and part of the seventies Marxism and historical materialism flourished, and that this influence was yet important during the eighties. However, during the nineties, the different schools of history tried to look neutral, out of ideology, and they left Marxism aside. Yet, in spite of the theoretical contempt, this historiographical trend still influences economic history. The expressly residual historical materialism is implicitly in the core of many research not considered to be Marxist.

The European Union Green Deal aims at curbing greenhouse gas emissions and introducing clean energy production. But to achieve energy efficiency, the opportunity cost of different energies must be assessed. In this article, two different energy self-sufficient systems for wastewater treatment are compared. On the one hand, high-rate algal ponds system (HRAP) is considered; on the other hand, a conventional activated sludge system (AS) which uses photovoltaic power (PV) is studied.
