Klęska na dachu świata. Armia indyjska w wojnie granicznej z Chinami w 1962 roku
Publikacja prezentuje indyjską perspektywę zakończonej klęską wojny 1962 roku. Na początku zostały przedstawione warunki terenowe i klimatyczne determinujące działania obu stron. Dalej można przeczytać nowatorski tekst Małgorzaty Lizut na temat wspływu choroby wysokościowej i niskiej temperatury na organizm człowieka. Następnie zostały ukazane stosunki pomiędzy Indiami a Chinami latach poprzedzających wojnę, a także przygotowania (czy też raczej ich brak) armii indyjskiej do walk w trudnym, górzystym terenie. Rdzeniem książki jest szczegółowy opis działań bojowych armii indyjskiej na możliwie najniższym poziomie taktycznym. Jednocześnie zaprezentowano „anatomię klęski” – przedstawiono, którzy oficerowie, a także politycy hinduscy doprowadzili do dramatycznej, bezprecedensowej przegranej. Nie zapomniano także o bohaterach działań bojowych, gdyż wiele pododdziałów – pomimo zaskoczenia, przewagi nieprzyjaciela i jego lepszego uzbrojenia – biło się dzielnie i z olbrzymią determinacją.

A reinterpretation of the British Army's conduct in the crucial 1944-45 Northwest Europe campaign, this work examines systematically the Colossal Cracks operational technique employed by Montgomery's Anglo-Canadian 21st Army Group and demonstrates the key significance that morale and casualty concerns exerted on this technique.
