The Genius of Kinship

Dziebel has doctorates in both history and anthropology and is currently both advisor to the Great Russian Encyclopedia and senior anthropologist at Crispin Porter + Bogusky advertising agency. His extremely dense work is actually three books in one. The first is a history of kinship studies from the early 19th century to the present. The second is a comparative study of kinship terminology among non-Indo-European languages, for which he has also prepared a data base published on the internet. The third section, highly controversial, as he admits, uses anthropology, mitochondrial studies and linguistics to suggest that the "out of Africa" model of human origins may be in error and that the first humans actually came from the Americas and spread from there to the rest of the world.

Aesthetics of the Dramatic Art

Otakar Zich’s Aesthetics of the Dramatic Art. Theoretical Dramaturgy (1931) laid the foundation of systematic modern theatre theory and helped establish theatre studies as an academic discipline. With an introduction, a contextual afterword and a glossary, this volume is the first complete translation into any language. Alongside Theatre Theory Reader. Prague School Writings (2016), it provides a thorough insight into Czech theatre thinking and a theory of theatre as a time-based art, perceived in the moment by an audience. Covering spoken drama and opera, Zich uniquely analyses the individual creative works that participate in making theatre.

Synthesis of the Doctrine of Race

In this book Evola set out his own racial doctrine on the premise of the traditional tripartition of the human being into body, soul, spirit. In the first part, race is presented as a revolutionary idea. The three degrees of race are defined in the second part and elaborated upon in the third part. The fourth part begins with a clear definition of the term "Aryan" and ends with considerations on the racial issue from the point of view of law. Finally, the problem of racial rectification is discussed thoroughly.

In Srinagar Burushaski: A Descriptive and Comparative Account with Analyzed Texts Sadaf Munshi offers the structural description of a lesser-known regional variety of Burushaski spoken in Srinagar, the summer capital of the Indian-administered state of Jammu & Kashmir. The description includes a comprehensive and comparative account of the structural features of Srinagar Burushaski in terms of phonology, morphology, lexicon and syntax. The grammar is supported by an extensive digital corpus housed at the University of North Texas Digital Library. Using contemporary spoken language samples from Srinagar, Nagar, Hunza and Yasin varieties of Burushaski as well as data from the available literature, Munshi provides a thorough understanding of the historical development of Srinagar Burushaski, complementing the existing studies on Burushaski dialectology.
