Maxi sedang mengamen saat melihat perempuan cantik duduk di dalam gazebo yang terletak di halaman sebuah rumah megah. Karena suara Maxi yang merdu, Melia Rahman-perempuan itu-memintanya datang setiap minggu pada hari dan jam yang sama. Ketka datang di hari lain, Maxi sangat terkejut saat melihat pemandangan yang berunah drastis. Ruah megah itu tampak kumug tak terurus, tamannya kering meranggas. tapi yang paling mengherankan adalah perubahan pada gazebo yang semula begitu indah karena dinaungo pepohonan bugenvil yang sarat berbunga. kini tempat itu tampak kering. jelas rumah tersebut tak berpenghuni. lalu Maxi mengetahui ternyata Melia Rahman sudah meninggal lebih dari setahun yang lalu! dia dibunuh di rumah itu dan pelakunya sudah dipenjara. melia diduga korban kasus perampokan sopirnya sendiri. sopir yang menurut gosip adalah kekasih gelap nyonya cantik tersebut. ketika maxi bertemu lagi dengan arwah melia, arwah itu meminta bantuan untuk mengungkapkan kebenaran perihal kematiannya. siapa yang sebenarnya membunuh melia dan kenapa? maxi berjanji akan menolong, tapi ragu apakah dia siap menghadapi kenyataan.
