Intimacy is what two people share without reservations. Talking to God is experiencing intimacy like no other. Its also like talking to man, you are sure to get an answer. It may not be the answer you want, but God is always speaking if youre listening. In every relationship, there are good times and bad times. Remember marriage vows prepare you just in case it gets rough, not that it will. The key to every great relationship is intimate communication. When you are intimate you are real. you are true. Going into any relationship with the right motives and intentions is the foundation of true friendships and love that will last a lifetime. "This book addresses the many complexities of the waiting game, the trusting game, and the journey of self and relationship with God. The "voice" of the story is very personable and real." - Melissa Jordan, author of "A Place of Solitude, 100 Days of Transformation" "Highly opinionated.... -BooksPros Wow! What an awesome inspiring book...... love that it is a quick read.....This book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next. I felt like I was watching a Tyler Perry movie." -Patricia Norman, Lord and Norman, Inc.

In the controversy over the reporting of the Falklands conflict, criticism focused on the media's use of armchair strategists to interpret and speculate about operations in the South Atlantic. Valerie Adams sets that media commentary in an historical perspective and examines its actual content to see whether the criticism was justified and whether the material actually helped to inform the public about the actions undertaken on their behalf. The issues raised in wartime by the relationship between the media, the government and the public in a democracy are explored: the Falklands' problems appear insignificant set against potential future difficulties.

Olympian, World and Commonwealth champion. Valerie Adams talks openly and honestly about life in the spotlight and her tumultuous private life. Valerie Adams keeps no secrets as she tells her inspirational story of how a Tongan kid from Mangere, throwing the shot in bare feet, transformed herself into a double Olympic champion. She tells, in minute-by-minute detail, what really happened at the London Olympics. You’ll learn the full, true story of her split with coach Kirsten Hellier. She also reveals why the pain in her personal life made 2010 a nightmare for her. And why, to stay the best in the world, she’s been living on a mountaintop in Switzerland. Sir Murray Halberg says Valerie Adams may be on track to be our greatest ever athlete. Valerie — honest, joyous and sometimes heartbreaking — is the unvarnished story of a great athlete and a remarkable New Zealander.

In this book Valerie Adams describes her early days at the Wessex School of Dancing in Bournemouth and joining the Sadler's Wells Upper School in London. After she became a member of the Sadler's Wells Company at the Royal Opera House, she went with the Company on their 3rd tour of the USA and Canada and went again the following year, with Moira Shearer and Robert Helpmann in the Old Vic production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Dame Ninette de Valois trained Valerie Adams to teach and she went on to teach at the Sadler's Wells School. She was invited by the Dutch Government to form a Ballet School at the Koninklijk Conservatorium voor Muziek at The Hague, in order to produce dancers for the three Dutch Ballet Companies. After five and a half years, she returned to teach at The Royal Ballet School, as it is now known. And two years later, Dame Ninette invited her to be at her side when she formed a Teachers' Course. She became Course Director in 1971, and finally retired in 2000. This book is her story, and the story of the Course.

Complex Words in English presents a comprehensive account of present-day word formation in English. Starting with a discussion of some basic issues, including the definition of 'word', motivation, lexicalization, productivity, the relevance of historical information and the usefulness of dictionaries and other data-bases, the book then moves on to describe in detail a variety of prefixing, suffixing and compounding patterns - all illustrated with copious up-to-date examples. Other topics that are explored in-depth include diminutives, backformation and other effects of reanalysis, Latin and Greek based formations and sound symbolism. Many examples are given in context: recent writing and the records of OED on CD ROM are drawn on to demonstrate the relationship between spontaneous coinages and familiar items. The comprehensive coverage allows an instructive overview and comparison of patterns and of the many and diverse factors relevant to the notion of productivity. Throughout, the discussions are placed in the context of other recent and less recent work in the area and the book also contains a useful extensive bibliography.
