Y es que gran parte de nuestra sociedad vive al margen de este inhumano y gravísimo problema que es la esclavitud de nuestro tiempo. Resultado de todo ello es un análisis riguroso de la trata de seres humanos para su explotación sexual y la prostitución, explotación infantil, servidumbre laboral, la mendicidad, matrimonios forzados y tráfico de órganos; así como de las redes y delincuencia organizada, trata como negocio económico, la sociología de la trata, el derecho internacional contra la trata, y en favor de la protección de sus víctimas, la indignidad humana y moral de la trata, etc. Era necesario también un estudio del complejo problema de la trata con un enfoque humano y moral, a diferencia de otros análisis más jurídicos.
