“It Was Not Gold” is a story relating to gold smuggling. A consignment of gold was intercepted and seized which was later on found to be a replica made of brass instead of gold, leading to suspicion of substitution. The testing was done based on an unusual plea made by a young lawyer before the court. Two different agencies conducted the investigation separately and bit by bit the mystery of missing gold was solved.
