Daniel Matheny: Maverick Tailor from Virginia, 1829 - 1876
Daniel Matheny, son of William Matheney, was born in 1829 in White Rock Gap, Alleghany County, Virginia. He married Salina Henry in 1844 in Gallia County, Ohio.
Virginia Colonial Militia, 1651-1776
It is owing to the indefatigable labors of William Armstrong Crozier that we have one of the most exhaustive lists of colonial soldiers ever published. "Virginia Colonial Militia" originally appeared as Volume II of Crozier's famous series "Virginia County Records" but has since earned a distinction that has set it apart.
