"Sadhana of Service" reflects Eknathji's thoughts on the personality of an ideal worker. Swami Vivekananda said in one of his speeches that our country had always to wait for the birth of a great man. He leads us for some time and there is no continuity. A grand idea should be sufficient to thousands of people to take it up and follow it. But if that grand idea is not propogatedd by a great man, it has no chance of flourishing in our country. His dream was to reverse this trend.

“Kendra Unfolds” is a collection of over 242 letters selected from the more than 22 thousand letters personally written by Mananeeya Eknathji. They cover a period of nearly 20 years, starting from 1963 to 1982. These letters are addressed to people who literally represent every strata of society. They also reflect the need, the nature and the exigencies of the situation, wherein they were written. Naturally, they cover such a wide spectrum, immense variety and varied styles of presentation. But, in spite of this immense vastness, there is a common background, a unifying thread and one single well-defined goal, which is unmistakable.

The present generation is moving at a very fast pace, hitherto unknown. The result being economic prosperity, technological development at the one end and stressful lives, and fractured inter personal relationships at the other end. Man seldom enjoys the fruits of his labour as he is bogged down because of the stress. This makes Yoga much more relevant today. There is a compelling need to create an awareness about “Yoga” which is commonly misconstrued as a mere Physical exercise. Yoga is not just Asana or Pranayama. It is a way of life. It is a process in which we integrate our body-mind-intellect with the larger identites like family, society and Nation the entire creation.
