Network Diplomacy

The current monograph is the result of many years of work by the author in the field of the understudied concept of network diplomacy and the possibilities of using it in resolving sharp conflicts in order to facilitate their more effective resolution, as well as the possibilities of using the elements of network diplomacy in peaceful spheres of world politics, business and private sector. The main part of the book consists of case-studies that are dedicated to the possible use of network diplomacy in "problem" zones (the Libyan crisis, the conflict in Syria, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh), as well as in areas of peaceful coexistence (international sport, culture and humanitarian ties, twin cities, cross years etc). Some chapters are particularly dedicated to Russia’s possible involvement in network solutions to the conflicts. This study will offer insights into how Russian diplomats are hoping to build a new peace today.

Turning Points of World Transformation

This book explores the transformation of the political organization of the world as manifest in different spheres of world politics, in particular, in world politics, regional studies, interaction of MNCs and government agencies, and state responses to biogenic challenges. To achieve this goal, M. Lebedeva proposes the concept of a political organization of the world, which in modern conditions is in the process of transformation. The transformation of the political organization of the world is accompanied by megatrends (globalization, integration, democratization) and the opposite trends (de-globalization disintegration, dedemocratization). Interdisciplinary in nature, this book brings together scholars from Russia, the United States, and Canada, and provides a compelling perspective on the geopolitics of our time.

Informer 001

During the period when Russia was under Stalin, a young boy namedPavlik Morozov informed the OGPU (now called the KGB) that his fatherwas an enemy of the regime. As a result, Pavlik's father wasarrested and disappeared in a Soviet concentration camp. Enemies of theparty later killed the boy, whereupon people proclaimed him a hero.Informer 001 is the first independent study of the Morozovaffair. In book after book, author Druzhnikov discoveredinconsistencies on every fact relating to Morozov. As Druzhnikov piecedtogether the story about Morozov's life, death, and legacy, itbecame clear that the campaign to keep Morozov a hero was centrallydirected. Informer hero number 001, remained a fearful reminder to all;to those who inform, and those who become the victims of denunciations.
