The primary purpose of this book is to provide a catharsis for myself. Maybe if I strip my mental, emotional and spiritual selves naked in little one-inch strips, analyzing what I find there, I’ll be able to understand myself. The secondary purpose is to use myself as a model for what I suspect is going on in the world. Mother Earth and all her cells (people) are undergoing a nervous breakdown, I sense. The old ways of being and doing are no longer working. I feel religion (man’s beliefs “about” God) is the fundamental cause of our erroneous assumptions about who we are, as a species, in relation to God (Infinite Intelligence). As I look around, pre- and post-September 11, 2001, I see that warring religious beliefs are at the foundation of the insanity in the world. Whatever God is, I AM THAT. And so are you. We’re all one. Let us minimize our differences and focus on what makes us all human. I feel it is life. And I further feel that LIFE is sending us urgent messages to unite in Love, so we can live in Peace. The alternative is to destroy ourselves and each other.

How wacko is that?

If you are not a military-trained commando or wilderness expert but just an ordinary child, then what’s the best way to survive in the wild? Does it help to know how to start a fire by rubbing sticks together, or should you carry a matchbox when you go out into the wild? A poacher, if caught and convicted for killing a protected animal, can be thrown behind the bars for several years. Yet it’s okay for a government to drown an entire ancient rainforest the size of a small country and every living creature in it for a ‘development’ project. Now how wacko is that?!! In this book, best buddies Shaila and Sachin face many such situations, which makes them realize just how wacko and absurd some of our attitudes to and dealings with animals, nature, and wildlife can be. Follow their journey to know what needs to change before we relearn to coexist with nature.

French Gold is a tale of murder and its solving, of life in the colonial village of Ste. Anne in the Illinois country, of buried treasure and its eventual unearthing. It is of a keelboat voyage from St. Louis to New Orleans and of the tender star-crossed love shared by the French woman Julie Coussat and young Auguste Chouteau along the way. Their journey is full of action - first an encounter with river pirates, then savage Indians, and finally a brutal attack upon Julie by supposed friends. This story tells of the present-day rebuilding of a wall at historic Fort de Chartres and how it came about. Fast paced, its action shifts back and forth and back again between Springfield, Illinois in t...

Hilarious and flippant sci-fi, tempered by the solemn profundity of the human condition. It features extraterrestrials, bigfoots, and a handful of level-headed humans struggling to make sense of unprecedented circumstances on their home planet. An advanced species of aliens, Xenkonians, pretend to be God. Their purpose? To convince humanity to blissfully accept cranial tubing in order to harvest their melatonin, which just happens to have the same chemical properties as a powerful recreational narcotic, but with even better effect. It also enhances the telepathic ability of the few Xenkonians predisposed to telepathy, including an egomaniac military leader hell-bent on conquering the galaxy....
