Why another dermatology text? In 1973, when Drs. Nasemann and Sauerbrey wrote the introduction to the first edition of Haut krankheiten und venerische Infektionen. they addressed this question. They promised their book would be concise and profusely illustrated to best teach the fundamentals of dermatology. The German text, now in its fourth edition, has been widely successful. In undertaking an American revised translation of their work, it was my hope to meet a need in the English-language literature similar to that met by the German text. I believe that both students and non dermatologic physicians will find this volume a useful introduction to the art and science of treating skin disorde...
1982, published (in German) Histopathologie It is a great honor to be allowed to present my der Hautkrankheiten. Dr. Nasemann has gra concepts of basic dermatopathology. I have ciously allowed me to write my own English long joked that I wished to write a book enti text, completely reorganizing and changing his tled Dermatopathology for Dick and Jane already superb text, but using about one half (with apologies to the author of my first-grade reader), but finally concluded that a more dig of his photomicrographs and all of his line drawings. I have taken the balance of the pho nified title-Dermatopathology-was more appropriate. This book is aimed at a very spe tomicrographs myself, while Dr....

With increasing travel and increasing immunosuppression, parasitic intestinal diseases are now seen in every type of practice. The standard diagnostic procedures described herein reduce costs in therapy. It will empower a wide variety of physicians to manage these disorders more effectively.
Pantheon of Dermatology provides an exciting introduction to the history of dermatology through the life stories of its most important protagonists. Grant-Kels, Clin. Dermatol., November-December, 2013) “This truly magisterial ... voyage in words and pictures through dermatology ... is a terrific and exciting adventure.” (Robert Rudolph, UC Davis DermChat, May 2013)

Used by generations of physicians who encounter patients with dermatological diseases, Lever’s Dermatopathology: Histopathology of the Skin comprehensively covers skin disease in which histopathology plays an important role in diagnosis. The updated 12th Edition, edited by Drs. David E. Elder, Rosalie Elenitsas, George F. Murphy, Misha Rosenbach, Adam I. Rubin, John T. Seykora, and Xiaowei Xu, maintains the proven, clinicopathologic classification of cutaneous disease while incorporating a “primer” on pattern-algorithm diagnosis. It features larger images throughout, as well as thoroughly revised content with new diseases and new information on pathophysiology and molecular pathogenesis—all in an easy-to-navigate, highly readable format.
Lever's Histopathology of the Skin is a classic, comprehensive work that has been used by generations of dermatopathologists, pathologists, and dermatologists to further their knowledge, in their current practices, and in the training of their students. The pathophysiologic organization is based on Walter Lever's original scheme, with appropriate modifications over the years, and is more efficient than the pattern method, since related entities are discussed in juxtaposition. This edition contains over 1,400 full-color illustrations, including photomicrographs and clinical photographs of diseases not covered in previous editions. The chapter on algorithmic pattern recognition has been expanded and extensively cross-referenced to the chapters on diseases to aid readers in generating differential diagnoses for unknown cases. A companion Website will offer the fully searchable text and an image bank.
