The emerging Sr2FeMoO6-based electrocatalysts for solid oxide electrochemical cell: synthesis, modulation and applications

Solid oxide cells (SOCs) are regarded as a promising energy technology due to their large current density, diverse range of fuels, and high energy conversion efficiency. The double perovskite Sr2FeMoO6 (SFM) has attracted considerable attention for SOCs due to its tunable structure with superior performance of high conductivity, excellent thermal stability, and remarkable carbon deposition resistance in a reducing atmosphere. However, the electrocatalytic activity of SFM is considerably lower than that of commercial Ni-based SOC electrodes. A timely summary of the synthesis, modulation, and application of SFM perovskites is of great significance for its further development for SOCs. In this review, the methods employed in the preparation of SFM electrocatalysts are introduced first. Then, the advancements in the application of different SFM-based electrocatalysts in the field of SOCs are reviewed, and the research progress in the in-situ exsolution of SFM-based electrocatalysts through ion regulation is assessed. Finally, the future issues associated with SFM-based electrocatalysts are addressed in the realm of electrocatalysis, to advance their application.

Graphene has grasped the attention of academia and industry world-wide due its unique structure and reported advantageous properties. This was reflected via the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics being awarded for groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene. One particular area in which graphene has been extensively explored is electrochemistry where it is potentially the world’s thinnest electrode material. Graphene has been widely reported to perform beneficially over existing electrode materials when used within energy production or storage devices and when utilised to fabricate electrochemical sensors. This book charts the history of graphene, depicting how it h...

Generalized Principle of Pattern Multiplication and Its Applications

This book investigates in detail the generalized principle of the pattern multiplication (GPPM) and its application to new phased array with high performances. It introduces the generalized element factor (GEF) to small aperture with multi-modes. Based on the GEF, the GPPM can be used to construct the wide-angle scanning array with the dual-port phase mode antenna. Further, a dual-port phase mode SSPPs antenna is proposed to scan in 3D free space. It is extended to two kinds of 1D arrays with 4 elements; both of them perform good 3D scanning with high gain and large range, which will improve future radar design and wireless communication. This book proposes a new method to develop the potentialities of the GPPM and the new phase array. And the readers can study the method or ideas of the GEF, GPPM, even graft the methods to new phase mode antenna and array. It is intended for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in new phase mode antenna and array technology, researchers investigating high-performance antenna, and antenna design engineers working on phase array applications.
