This atlas gives a comprehensive account on the benthic foraminiferal fauna in the China Seas, especially on the Bohai and the Yellow Seas. Details of about 183 species, subjected to 5 orders, 52 families and 92 genera are included. For each species there is a brief description of the morphological characteristics, synonymised names, measurements and geographical distribution worldwide, as well as a top-level elegant plate illustrated the fossil and live specimens. It could be used as a reference book for researchers working at marine biology, marine geology, micropaleontology, paleoceanography, paleobiology and related fields.
Anthropogenic climate change has driven widespread changes in marine environments, including ocean warming, ocean acidification, and the formation of hypoxic zones. Such environmental changes would pose direct challenges to the survival and adaptation of aquatic organisms, greatly affecting the biodiversity of marine life and marine ecosystems. Changes in the marine environment are likely to have strong effects at the physiological, behavioral, and molecular levels, with implications at the individual, population, and species levels, resulting in the degradation of genetic resources through massive mortality. For example, the ingestion, digestion, respiration, and growth of aquatic animals were greatly depressed under extreme environments. In the long run, maintaining a sustainable ocean would require a better understanding of the adaptation of marine animals in response to the effects of multiple environmental stressors. The Research Topic is aimed to discuss the potential impacts of individual and compounded extreme environments on aquatic animals, as well as the regulatory mechanisms and adaptation strategies of marine species to cope with these impacts.

The work presented here highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of cardiovascular medicine, including the elucidation of fundamental biology, the development of novel diagnostics or therapeutics, computational modelling approaches, and bioengineering strategies for regeneration.

Then the virus spread rapidly in this country, inspiring terror in people. To ward off a greater calamity, 1,775 doctors and nurses in 12 batches from Shandong went to the epidemic-stricken Hubei at the call of duty. Brave and professionally dedicated, they have completed their work with great success: None of them were infected, none of their patients died, and none of the cured cases turned positive again. At the front line the 1,775 medical workers are armored fighters, but at home they are also sons, daughters, wives, husbands or parents. With a quick change of role, they vent in letters their conflicting feelings of pride and horror, of joys and sorrows, and of affection for family and devotion to duty. So, for this spring, letter has been the most heartwarming, the most acute, the most candid, and the most delicate form to express feelings.
The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a critical role in tumor proliferation, progression, and therapeutic responses. TME is a complex network of cancer cells, stromal cells, and, most importantly, infiltrating immune cells. Cancer cells regulate numerous biological functions through direct or indirect interaction with TME components. Emerging evidence suggests that TME crucially influences the response to both chemotherapy and immunotherapy. As scientific research has entered the big data era with the fast development of high-throughput sequencing technologies, machine learning has been gradually widely applied to extract important knowledge from big data bioinformatics. Thus, characterizing the TME landscape in cancer and identifying different immune-related TME phenotypes using machine learning-based bioinformatics analyses, in vitro experiments, and in vivo experiments are of great interest and significance.
