This monograph offers design for fast and reliable technique in the dense motion estimation. This Multilevel Optimization for Dense Motion Estimation work blends both theory and applications to equip reader with an understanding of basic concepts necessary to apply in solving dense motion in a sequence of images. Illustrating well-known variation models for dealing with optical flow estimation, this monograph introduces variation models with applications. A host of variation models are outlines such as Horn-Schunck model, Contrast Invariation Models and Models for Large Displacement. Special attention is also given to multilevel optimization techniques namely multiresolution and multigrid methods to improve the convergence of the global optimum when compared to using only one level resolution in the context of computer vision. This monograph is a robust resource that provides insightful introduction to the field of image processing with its theory and applications. Overall, Multilevel Optimization for Dense Motion Estimation is highly recommended for scientists and engineers for an excellent choice for references and self-study.
This Special Issue contains articles include, but not limited to, empirical, analytical, or design-oriented approaches to the following topics: Monitoring of carrying capacity and mechanisms for managing tourist flows in rural areas; Systems and tools to measure the social, economic, and environmental sustainability of rural tourism; Integration between public tourism policies and private strategies in the promotion and implementation of sustainable practices; Policies for promoting public participation in the planning and development of sustainable rural tourism; The impacts of tourism on traditional agricultural activities; Identity enhancement of the territory and its productions; "Good practices" in the implementation of rural tourism sustainability.
This book is a product of the Third International Conference on Computing, Mathematics and Statistics (iCMS2017) to be held in Langkawi in November 2017. It is divided into four sections according to the thrust areas: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Multidisciplinary Applications. All sections sought to confront current issues that society faces today. The book brings collectively quantitative, as well as qualitative, research methods that are also suitable for future research undertakings. Researchers in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics can use this book as a sourcebook to enrich their research works.

Since the 1980s, attention has increased in the research of fluid mechanics due to its wide application in industry and phycology. Major advances have occurred in the modeling of key topics such Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, nanoparticles, thermal management, and physiological fluid phenomena in biological systems, which have been published in this Special Issue on symmetry and fluid mechanics for Symmetry. Although, this book is not a formal textbook, it will be useful for university teachers, research students, and industrial researchers and for overcoming the difficulties that occur when considering the nonlinear governing equations. For such types of equations, obtaining an analytic or even a numerical solution is often more difficult. This book addresses this challenging job by outlining the latest techniques. In addition, the findings of the simulation are logically realistic and meet the standard of sufficient scientific value.
This biannual conference in Pahang, Malaysia, is a clearing house for many of the latest research findings in a highly multidisciplinary field. The contributions span a host of academic disciplines which are themselves rapidly evolving, making this collection of 90 selected papers an invaluable snapshot of an arena of pure and applied science that produces many versatile innovations. The book covers a multitude of topics ranging from the sciences (pure and applied) to technology (computing and engineering), and on to social science disciplines such as business, education, and linguistics. The papers have been carefully chosen to represent the leading edge of the current research effort, and come from individuals and teams working right around the globe. They are a trusted point of reference for academicians and students intending to pursue higher-order research projects in relevant fields, and form a major contribution to the international exchange of ideas and strategies in the various technological and social science disciplines. It is the sheer scope of this volume that ensures its relevance in a scientific climate with a marked trend towards disciplinary synthesis.
This book for anyone who wants to undertake an engaging, satisfying, productive, and a more successful career as a qualitative researcher. This book is intended to contribute to the popularisation of qualitative research in Malaysia. Qualitative studies in educational research are very limited in many countries; and to date, there has been very little work done using this form of educational inquiry in Malaysia. The dominant tradition has followed the positivist paradigm. A qualitative case study offers a different approach and generates a range of information of different qualities from that obtained using traditional approaches. This book provides both the theories and practical practices ...

This book is a valuable resource for those engaged in multivariate statistical techniques. Most chapters include a set of problems and solution that enable readers to overcome the drawback of the classical techniques. It covers a theoretical disadvantage of correlation and covariance test, Hotelling’s T2 statistic, local influence, and linear discriminant analysis to inspire new or young researchers with new ideas for theoretical improvement. This book is also worthy for people who want to learn multivariate statistics extensively
