Firdevsî-i Rûmî diğer adıyla Uzun Firdevsî XV. yüzyılın sonları ile XVI. yüzyılın ilk yarısında II. Bâyezid, Fatih Sultan Mehmet ve Yavuz Sultan Selim gibi üç büyük padişah döneminde yaşamış ve onların hamiliğine nail olmuştur. II. Bâyezid’in isteğiyle manzum mensur karışık olarak yazdığı Süleymân-nâme-i Kebîr ona şöhret kazandıran eseridir. Süleymân-nâme-i Kebîr’in asıl konusu Hz. Süleymân-nâme-i Kebîr’in 16. cildini konu edinen bu çalışmada eserin Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi Hazine Kitaplığında H. 1526 demirbaş numarasıyla kayıtlı, bilinen tek nüshası esas alınmıştır.

Globalisation and neo-liberalism have been impacting the nation-state and leading the full citizenship concept into crisis, not only in Turkey but also in the world. While one reason for this crisis is the decline of the welfare state, another reason stems from the fluidity of borders that distorts the classical patterns of the nation-state such as meta-identity. The existing Turkish citizenship inherited a strong state idea with passive citizenship tradition from the Ottoman Empire. However, this understanding is no longer sustainable for Turkish society. The definition of citizenship through state-led nationalism, secularism, and a free market economy creates societal crises in politics and society. The aim of this book is to find out the answer of what should be the ideal citizenship regime for Turkey. Various scholars dealing with Turkish socio-politics analyze different aspects and problems of Turkish citizenship regime that should be tackled for finding a recipe for ideal citizenship in Turkey.

This is meant to be the 10th volume of the series Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of the World. Similarly, to the previous volumes, the work will deal -in a monographic form- with MAPs characteristic/famous or simply known of Turkey, a large country that is connecting Europe with Asia. Turkey has extremely rich and varied topographic/ecologic conditions. As a result, the flora of Turkey abounds in an astonishingly great number of endemic MAP species. Traditional, present and possible prospective uses will be discussed. Scientific and technological achievements will be equally presented. Briefly, the volume is aimed to look carefully at our present knowledge of this vast interdisciplinary domain of medicinal and aromatic plants with a focus on Turkey. In the era of global climate change and Covid-pandemics, building on the huge Turkish traditions, the proposed volume of the series is expected to make an important contribution to the better knowledge and understanding of the MAP wealth of the World.
