Siyasete Katılım ve Toplumsal Hareketler
Toplumu oluşturan bireylerin siyasete katılım yoğunluklarında ve şekillerinde farklılıklar bulunmakta; Robert Dahl, katılımın dört boyutunu ilgi, önemseme, bilgi ve eylem şeklinde sıralamaktadır. Elinizdeki kitapta siyasete katılımın eylem boyutunda yer alan, Nisan 1960 öğrenci olayları ile Gezi Parkı olayları karşılaştırmalı yöntemle incelenmiştir. Bahsi geçen toplumsal hareketler, siyasete katılımın bir şekli olarak değerlendirildiğinden, siyasete tüm vatandaşların faal olarak katılması gerektiğini savunan müzakereci demokrasi kuramı kitabın kuramsal çerçevesini oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada yazın taramasının yanı sıra nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemleri birlikte kullanılarak incelenen iki olay derinlemesine analiz edilmiş; olaylar arasında benzerlikler ve farklılıklar ortaya konulmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda, ele alınan toplumsal hareketlerin birçok noktada benzerlik gösterdiği; toplumsal harekete yaklaşımın müzakereci demokrasi kuramıyla bağdaşmadığı ve iktidar nezdinde seçim sonuçlarına odaklanan bir demokrasi anlayışının mevcut bulunduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
