Genetic and Evolutionary Computing
This book gathers papers presented at the 13th International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing (ICGEC 2019), which was held in Qingdao, China, from 1st to 3rd, November 2019. Since it was established, in 2006, the ICGEC conference series has been devoted to new approaches with a focus on evolutionary computing. Today, it is a forum for the researchers and professionals in all areas of computational intelligence including evolutionary computing, machine learning, soft computing, data mining, multimedia and signal processing, swarm intelligence and security. Advances in Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing

Dynamics and Fault Diagnosis of Nonlinear Rotors and Impellers
This contributed volume presents recent developments in nonlinear dynamics applied to engineering. Specifically, the authors address stability and bifurcation in large-scale, complex rotor dynamic systems; periodic motions and their bifurcations in nonlinear circuit systems, fault diagnosis of complex engineering systems with nonlinear approaches, singularities in fluid-machinery and bifurcation analysis, nonlinear behaviors in rotor dynamic system with multi-mistuned blades, mode localization induced by mistuning in impellers with periodical and cyclic symmetry, and nonlinear behaviors in fluid-structure interaction and their control. These new results will maximize reader understand on the recent progress in nonlinear dynamics applied to large-scale, engineering systems in general and nonlinear rotors and impellers in particular.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) plays an important role in supporting human activities. Man is concentrating more and more on intellectual work, and trying to automate practical activities as much as possible in order to increase their efficiency. In this regard, the use of drones is increasingly becoming a key aspect of this automation process, offering many advantages, including agility, efficiency and reduced risk, especially in dangerous missions. Hence, this Special Issue focuses on applications, platforms and services where UAVs can be used as facilitators for the task at hand, also keeping in mind that security should be addressed from its different perspectives, ranking from communications security to operational security, and furthermore considering privacy issues.
