Nuclear Physics - Proceedings Of The 15th Workshop
The XV Workshop on Nuclear Physics was devoted to the study of nucleon models, nuclear structure, nuclear reactions as well as exotic forms of nuclear matter. In particular, studies of the link between gauge theories and nuclear decay were presented. Nuclear reactions at intermediate energies, highly excited nuclear states, high spin and statistical features of the nucleus were also issues of interest which were analyzed during the Workshop. Theoretical Nuclear Physics in Italy
The 9th Conference on Problems in Theoretical Nuclear Physics was organized as part of the project ?Theoretical Physics of Nuclei and Many-Body Systems? involving 17 Italian universities and sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Research and University.This volume includes the invited papers on the main subjects of the project and all the individual contributions on special topics. It reviews the work performed in the last two years by the participating Italian community of nuclear theorists. In addition, national and international perspectives are focussed by a panel on the future programmes of the large Italian laboratories and of the experimental community, as well as in a general review by A Faessler.
Handbook of Nuclear Physics
This handbook is a comprehensive, systematic source of modern nuclear physics. It aims to summarize experimental and theoretical discoveries and an understanding of unstable nuclei and their exotic structures, which were opened up by the development of radioactive ion (RI) beam in the late 1980s. The handbook comprises three major parts. In the first part, the experiments and measured facts are well organized and reviewed. The second part summarizes recognized theories to explain the experimental facts introduced in the first part. Reflecting recent synergistic progress involving both experiment and theory, the chapters both parts are mutually related. The last part focuses on cosmo-nuclear physics—one of the mainstream subjects in modern nuclear physics. Those comprehensive topics are presented concisely. Supported by introductory reviews, all chapters are designed to present their topics in a manner accessible to readers at the graduate level. The book therefore serves as a valuable source for beginners as well, helping them to learn modern nuclear physics.
Nuclear Physics at the Borderlines
This volume contains the lectures presented by invited speakers at the IV La Rlibida International Summer School on Nuclear Physics. This was the IV edition of a summer school organized by our group every three years on topics related to nuclear physics. This Summer School was aimed mainly at young nuclear physicists, both theoreticians and experimentalists, engaged in research work at predoctoral or recent postdoctoral level. The topics treated in the three previous editions of the School were: "Heavy Ion Collisions", "Theory of Nuclear Structure and Reactions" and "Nuclear As trophysics". This year's School was entitled "Nuclear Physics at the Borderlines". Special emphasis was placed on those topics along which nuclear physics is ex pected to develop in the next few years. The aim of the School was to provide the attendants with an opportunity to get into close contact with experienced researchers and listen to their account of the present state-of-the-art in nuclear physics and the main future lines of development.
Fusion Dynamics At The Extremes, Procs Of The International Workshop
This book deals with the properties and fusion dynamics of very heavy nuclei. It contains the latest experimental results on the formation and fission of superheavy nuclei and on the near-barrier fusion of light exotic nuclei, along with the different theoretical approaches to the description of fusion dynamics and microscopic properties of superheavy nuclei. The book also discusses nuclear collective dynamics and expectations from the use of accelerated beams of radioactive nuclei in fusion reactions.

Nuclear Physics with Stable and Radioactive Ion Beams
The field of radioactive ion beam research has evolved over the last three decades, and several sizeable facilities are currently undergoing a major upgrade or are under construction. In Europe, these include ISOLDE - CERN (Switzerland), SPIRAL2 - GANIL (France), FAIR - GSI (Germany) and SPES (Italy) while RIBF - RIKEN (Japan), TRIUMF (Canada) and FRIB - MSU (USA) are the major undertakings elsewhere.
