Thomas Morehouse immigrated from England to Connecticut before 1640. A direct descendant, John Morehouse (1761-1839), immigrated in 1783 to Digby, Nova Scotia with his family as a United Empire Loyalist. Some descendants later immigrated to the United States, chiefly to Massachusetts and California.
