Frank Aarebrot etterlot seg et tomrom i norsk offentlighet da han døde i 2017. Hvordan ble han den unike formidleren har var? «Franken» drevet av stor nysgjerrighet og glede over å formidle kunnskap. Studentene elsket ham, og han ble nasjonalt kjent og hyllet gjennom valgsendinger og seersuksesser som «200 år på 200 minutter». Han var respektert i politiske kretser fordi han alltid sa sin ærlige, uavhengige mening. Basert på nærmere 170 intervjuer med folk som kjente Frank, deriblant hans nærmeste familie og venner, statsministeren og andre samfunnstopper. Med forord av Knut Olav Åmås, direktør i Stiftelsen Fritt Ord. Liv Skotheim (f. 1977) er journalist og debattleder i Bergens Tidende. Hun er utdannet medieviter fra Universitetet i Oslo, og har jobbet i Aftenposten og BT siden 2005. Skotheim samarbeidet med Frank Aarebrot i forbindelse med en rekke debatter. Martin Larsen Hirth (f. 1984) er energianalytiker i Greensight. Han var tidligere journalist i Sysla og arrangementsansvarlig i Bergens Tidende. Hirth er master i sammenliknende politikk fra Universitetet i Bergen og var i 2009 leder for Sampolkonferansen.
