About the Book The disappearance of a prominent professor and his young assistant spawns rumor of a student scandal spanning decades, the magnitude of which could topple one of the most respected Medical Schools. Avery Carter, a young partner at a prestigious law firm, assists with public relations damage control. Quickly realizing that the “scandal” has been manufactured by the medical facility itself, his curiosity leads him across the country to the outskirts of Las Vegas, where he uncovers an ongoing international conspiracy dating back 75 years to the waning days of World War II. Carter’s movements are monitored by a Russian assassin sent to the United States nearly 30 years prior...

In 1995 the National Trust for Scotland acquired Mar Lodge Estate in the heart of the Cairngorms. Home to over 5,000 species, this vast expanse of Caledonian woodlands, subarctic mountains, bogs, moors, roaring burns and frozen lochs could be a place where environmental conservation and Highland field sports would exist in harmony. The only problem was that due to centuries of abuse by human hands, the ancient Caledonian pinewoods were dying, and it would take radical measures to save them. After 25 years of extremely hard work, the pinewoods, bogs, moors and mountains are returning to their former glory. Regeneration is the story of this success, featuring not only the people who are protecting the land and quietly working to undo the wrongs of the past, but also the myriad creatures which inspire them to do so. In addition, it also tackles current controversies such as raptor persecution, deer management and rewilding and asks bigger questions about the nature of conservation itself: what do we see when we look at our wild places? What should we see?

Containing over 200 papers, this volume contains the proceedings of two symposia in the E-MRS series. Part I presents a state of the art review of the topic - Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Oxygen in Silicon and in Other Elemental Semiconductors. There was strong representation from the industrial laboratories, illustrating that the topic is highly relevant for the semiconductor industry. The second part of the volume deals with a topic which is undergoing a process of convergence with two concerns that are more particularly application oriented. Firstly, the advanced instrumentation which, through the use of atomic force and tunnel microscopies, high resolution electron microscopy and other high precision analysis instruments, now allows for direct access to atomic mechanisms. Secondly, the technological development which in all areas of applications, particularly in the field of microelectronics and microsystems, requires as a result of the miniaturisation race, a precise mastery of the microscopic mechanisms.

Jesus and Trayvon

As seen in Christian Post “A Black Lives Matter Story of Eternal Justice!” —Review “Inspiring yet terrifying.” —Review “A telling indictment of Evangelicalism and its relationship to Black America.” — (starred review) “A sober spiritual warning and a racial declaration.” —Review “The justice that Dr. King promised is magnified in narrative form.” —Review Sixteen-year-old murder victim Trayvon awakes in a celestial realm that contains two worlds: transcendent beauty where the righteous are able to live in unsullied bliss and the land of living dead where the unbelievers dwell. During his journey he learns from an array of heavenly visitors that Paradise can only be attained by those deemed worthy by its Creator. Upon seeing fearful visions of the afterlife, Trayvon must pass one test in order to be deemed worthy. Passing this test will not only allow him to enter Paradise but also be given the knowledge of how and why his death and the death and enslavement of every Black Martyr was divinely inspired. But it is when Trayvon’s killer is brought before him that he must decide if showing mercy or wrath is the key to Paradise.
