Intermittences
The construction of memory entails a battle not only between memory and forgetting but also between different memories. There are multiple constructions of memory, and in the dispute between them, some become hegemonic, while others remain in the margins. Ana Forcinito explores the intermittences of transitional justice and memory in post-dictatorship Uruguay. The processes of building memory and transitional justice are repetitive but inconstant. They are contested by both internal and external forces and shaped by tensions between oblivion and silence. Forcinito explores models of reconciliation to present an alternative narrative of the past and to expose the blind spots of memory.

Unexpected Affinities
While the concept of "type" has been present in architectural discourse since its formal introduction at the end of the eighteenth century, its role in the development of architectural projects has not been comprehensively analyzed. This book proposes a reassessment of architectural type throughout history and its impact on the development of architectural theory and practice. Beginning with Laugier's 1753 Essay on Architecture, Unexpected Affinities: The History of Type in the Architectural Project from Laugier to Duchamp traces type through nineteenth- and twentiethth-century architectural movements and thoeries, culminating in a discussion of the affinities between architectural type and Duchamp's concept of the readymade. Trees have been deliberately connected with houses since they were introduced as a prominent part of architectural design. The relationships of contiguity between houses and trees have existed since ancient times. However, at the end of the 19th century those links became explicit in the design process, as the house emerged as one of the fundamental architectural programs, and as the result of an increasing sensibility towards environmental aspects and the landscape. Mileo entre dos golpes militares
Bragado sufrió la división política generada en épocas del peronismo con mucha violencia en hechos y en discursos. Algún político incluso llegó a pedir la toma de las armas para recuperar el gobierno del pueblo. Los tiempos que transcurrieron con gobiernos por comisionados en la Municipalidad tuvieron distintos resultados desde el cumplimiento del mero trámite administrativo hasta gestiones cargadas de buenos resultados. El gobierno de Mileo, electo por la ciudadanía, cumplió con creces las expectativas que generó. Con errores y aciertos, fue una administración ocupada en la tarea de hacer crecer a Bragado con la perspectiva de un hombre que desarrollaba su actividad en uno de los pueblos del Partido. Las obras fueron importantes y resultaron acordes con las necesidades de la población (salvo la terminal de ómnibus, en la que se equivocó el proyecto). Sin embargo, la política se entremezcló demasiado con la actividad pública, con divisiones en el Partido Radical y la proscripción del peronismo, que no ayudaron en nada al crecimiento de Bragado.
