Encompassing the collections Green Aquarium, Messiah's Diary, Where the Stars Spend the Night, and The Prophecy of the Inner Eye, Zackary Sholem Berger's translations open a new doorway into Sutzkever's fantastic and poignant imagination as well as his harrowing Holocaust experiences. The work of A. His poetry has been translated into many languages, but this is the most comprehensive presentation of his work in English. Benjamin Harshav provides a biography of the poet and a critical assessment of his writings in the context of his times.
