In this background developer Judith Sandstrom meets documentary film producer Robert Markham. Both have lost in this battle and share the same experiences. In the end the battle of the West is settled by a new and surprising twist of the government.

Elizabeth Josephine Miller was born in Ohio in 1861 and moved with her family to Lawrence when she was a child.
