The book also examines the iconography of patronage and studies particular works which received support in exile such as Wagner's Buhnenweihfestspiel.

Voluntary Export Restraints in WTO and EU Law
The initial leaps forward in international trade liberalisation were achieved under the auspices of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) when trade barriers in the form of tariffs were significantly reduced or removed up until the mid-1970s. However, this advancement was counteracted by a «new protectionism» which surfaced in the oil crises and the subsequent world economic recession. Medicine and Modernism
This is the first in-depth study of the English neurologist and polymath Sir Henry Head (1861-1940). Head bridged the gap between science and the arts. He was a published poet who had close links with such figures as Thomas Hardy and Siegfried Sassoon. His research into the nervous system and the relationship between language and the brain broke new ground. L. S. Jacyna argues that these advances must be contextualized within wider Modernist debates about perception and language. In his time, Head was best known for his research into the human nervous system. He did a series of experiments in collaboration with W. H. R. Rivers in which cutaneous nerves were surgically severed in Head's arm and the stages by which sensation returned were chartered over several years. Head's friend, the philosopher Alfred North Whitehead, drew out the epistemological implications of how, in this new conception, the nervous system furthered the knowledge of the world.
Når pædagoger skriver. En håndbog i skriftlig kommunikation
Pædagoger og andre omsorgsmedarbejdere i socialsektoren skriver meget – og ofte bliver det, de skriver, modtaget og læst med spændt forventning og til tider bekymring. Derfor er det vigtigt at kunne udtrykke sig korrekt og velformuleret på skrift. I ”Når pædagoger skriver – en håndbog i skriftlig kommunikation”, der udkom første gang i 1996, gennemgår Kirsten Rask teori og konkrete skriveregler inden for skriftlig kommunikation og giver en lang række eksempler på nogle af de tekster, der er en del af pædagogers hverdag – fx breve til forældre, handlingsplaner, jobansøgninger, rapporter m.m. Kirsten Rask (f. 1951) er cand.mag. i dansk med bifag i russisk. Hun har udgivet en lang række bøger om dansk sprog og grammatik og har i samarbejde med Teknologisk Institut udviklet Den Danske Korrekturlæseruddannelse. Kirsten Rask har modtaget flere priser og legater for sit arbejde.
