The nature of method has always been a topic at the very heart of western philosophical traditions, especially in the 20th century. One of the most influential philosophers of the last century, Ludwig Wittgenstein, changed not just his philosophical standpoint at least twice in his lifetime, but the very method of studying philosophy as well. A Custodian of Grammar discusses Wittgenstein's method in his later period, sometimes referred to as morphology. Krkac explores this topic from the primer of morphology and proceeds to more demanding and complicated topics, such as forms of life and perspicuous presentations. He also examines Wittgenstein's applications of his method, namely to consciousness, perception, and certainty. Language, Form(s) of Life, and Logic
This volume deals with the connection between thinking-and-speaking and our form(s) of life. All contributions engage with Wittgenstein’s approach to this topic. As a whole, the volume takes a stance against both biological and ethnological interpretations of the notion "form of life" and seeks to promote a broadly logico-linguistic understanding instead. The structure of this book is threefold. Part one focuses on lines of thinking that lead from Wittgenstein’s earlier thought to the concept of form of life in his later work. Contributions to part two examine the concrete philosophical function of this notion as well as the ways in which it differs from cognate concepts. Contributions to part three put Wittgenstein’s notion of form of life in perspective by relating it to phenomenology, ordinary language philosophy and problems in contemporary analytic philosophy.

Seeing Wittgenstein Anew is a collection which examines Ludwig Wittgenstein's remarks on the concept of aspect-seeing, showing that it was not simply one more topic of investigation in Wittgenstein's later writings but rather a pervasive and guiding concept in his efforts to turn philosophy's attention to the actual conditions of our common life in language. The essays in this 2010 volume open up novel paths across familiar fields of thought: the objectivity of interpretation, the fixity of the past, the acquisition of language, and the nature of human consciousness.
