In the Footsteps of the Red Baron
Manfred von Richthofen became a fighter pilot on the Western Front in August 1916. By January 1917, Richthofen had shot down fifteen aircraft had been appointed commander of his own unit. He painted the fuselage of his Albatros D-III a bright red and was nicknamed the Red Baron. In June 1917, Richthofen was appointed commander of the German Flying Circus. Made up of Germany's top fighter pilots, this new unit was highly mobile and could be quickly sent to any part of the Western Front where it was most needed. Richthofen and his pilots achieved immediate success during the air war over Ypres during August and September. Manfred von Richthofen was killed on 21st April 1918. Richthofen had destroyed 80 allied aircraft, the highest score of any fighter pilot during the First World War. This book is divided into three sectors of the WWI front line in which von Richthofen operated. Each area is conveniently reached within hours. Airfield sites, memorials and the graves of Manfred's famous victims are described and directions for the battlefield walker are included with information on related museums and historic sites with special association with this most famous of fighter pilots.

Eastham
Eastham, known as the land of the first light, is an ever-changing place. Although Europeans began visiting these shores early in the 1600s, the area's first inhabitants lived here over seven thousand years ago. In 1620, Mayflower passengers and crew had their first encounter with the Nawsett Indians over the theft of corn. From the mid-1800s to the 1960s, sails were replaced by engines. The discovery of oil ended the whaling industry for Eastham captains, and wide-scale farming and tourism became the backbone of Eastham's economy. My Spiritual Journey
Do you ever feel hopeless or in despair? Have you ever questioned your calling? Do you ever feel like giving up and throwing in the towel? Do you wonder how you’re going to make it through? Allow this book to witness to you and all generations about how I have prevailed through much adversity and am yet lifting the Name of Jesus. My prayer is that this book encourages you as we walk together through my Spiritual Journey. The Most High God was behind me, beside me, before me but in many instances, He was carrying me. There were many days that I didn’t know how I would make it but I am honored and thankful that He has brought me through over and over again. Even after many missteps, the Lord has picked me up, restored me, forgiven me, saved me and filled me with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. He is the immutable God—He changes not. If He did it for me, He can and will do it for you. “Coming up on the Rough Side of the Mountain” But thank God “My soul has been anchored in the Lord!” It is my prayer and heart’s desire that you are blessed and draw spiritual strength through “My Spiritual Journey!” Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
