Translation as Creative–Critical Practice
In Translation as Creative-Critical Practice, Delphine Grass questions the separation between practice and theory in translation studies through her analysis of creative-critical translation experiments. Focusing on contemporary literary and artistic engagements with translation such as the autotheoretical translation memoir, performative translations and 'transtopian' literary and visual art works, this Element argues for a renewed engagement with translation theory from the point of view of translation as artistic and practice-based research capable of reframing translation theory. Saramago’s Philosophical Heritage
The past decades have seen a growing “philosophical” interest in a number of authors, but strangely enough Saramago’s oeuvre has been left somewhat aside. This volume aims at filling this gap by providing a diverse range of philosophical perspectives and expositions on Saramago’s work. Non-lyric discourses in contemporary poetry
The concept of «non-lyric» calls attention to the functional instability of poetry as a genre and of lyric as a discursive category today. This volume reflects on new discursive and cultural practices in contemporary poetry: the constitution of new subjects and new subjectivities, the function of the poetic in public space, enunciative hybridizations and the incorporation of intermediality. Its main purposes are to question the conventional identification of poetic with lyric and to analyze the defining elements of the non-lyric.
