Growing up, young Sophia cannot dispel the idea that she is somehow different from all the other people around her. She has no idea how true that is¿and to what extent. Events come to a head when the group assigns one of them, Kevin, to hunt down Sophia and bring her to them for a one-time magnificent feast.

The topics treated include brain reverberating systems and associative phenomena; long-term potentiation, learning, and memory; gene activity and brain activity; and gene expression and information processing during sleep.
This book integrates discoveries from recent years to show the diversity of molecular mechanisms that contribute to memory consolidation, reconsolidation, extinction, and forgetting. It provides a special focus on the processes that govern functional and structural plasticity of dendritic spines.
