DFO's Aquaculture Policy Framework

As the lead federal agency for aquaculture development, DFO is committed to helping increase both the global competitiveness of the Canadian aquaculture sector and the public's confidence that aquaculture is being developed in a sustainable manner. This policy framework is intended to enable DFO to achieve these two important public policy objectives.--Document.
