From Britain’s only Cabinet-level politician to serve in the ranks during World War I, diary entries and letters detailing life on the Western Front. THE RISE AND FALL OF WOMEN IN MINISTRY reflects the "fall" and RISE of vital figures, in Ministry, since Biblical records of Esther and Deborah, to the present century, of jealousy, resentment, and demise that targets female leaders, in position, to guard souls for Christ. The existence of Gulls is unquestionable; that they exist in the way portrayed in this book is for you to decide. The existence of off shore oil rigs is also unquestionable, and their becoming Spike Moulds Standing Upright in the Bright Mother Sea enhances rather than subtracts from their designed purpose. The wonders emerging from the Ocean of Energy are for you alone to investigate; they exist for your looking and laughing. The Ocean of Energy, like its much smaller water-filled sisters, is in constant motion with an inherent efficiency of the highest magnitude possible. The history of women in the opera is a grand story. Women were singers and patrons, of course, but from opera's beginnings in Renaissance Italy, they were also opera composers and librettists. At first it was exclusively for the nobility. In the 19th century, with the emergence of the middle class and the rise of nationalism, there were more public theaters and opera seemed to be everywhere. This meant more opportunities for composers, though men predominated. This book focuses on the women, from the 16th century to today, who had successful careers in opera, many of them well known in their time.
