DARK MATTER MAGAZINE'S THIRTY DARKEST STORIES FROM THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF PUBLICATION (2021-2022) Every story published in Dark Matter Magazine is a best-of story to our staff, and that's why we had to do something different when choosing stories for the magazine's first-ever trade paperback anthology. Enter Zero Dark Thirty, a curated collection of the thirty darkest stories to haunt our magazine's pages during the first two years of publication (2021-2022). These are the most depressing and deranged tales the magazine has to offer. Enter if you must, but beware.
What is the dark matter that fills the Universe and binds together galaxies? How was it produced? What are its interactions and particle properties? The paradigm of dark matter is one of the key developments at the interface of cosmology and elementary particle physics. It is also one of the foundations of the standard cosmological model. This book presents the state of the art in building and testing particle models for dark matter. DARK MATTER is an eerie yet fascinating coloring book with symmetrical patterns made up of spots, splotches, splashes, curls, swirls, lines, circles, sticks, bones, and hidden faces. In fact, at first glance the images may even remind you of a psychologist's ink blot test. But these elements and particulates are intended to symbolically represent the invisible debris in space which is brought to life by you, the colorist. It is a book in which the colorist will often seem to be drawing and coloring at the same time. DARK Matter Volume 1 consists of 37 white abstract patterns on a black background instead of the usual black on white ground found in most coloring books. There are many thin lines with this artwork, so thinner tipped pencils, markers or gel pens are recommended. As with many coloring books, especially those with black backgrounds such as this, it is highly recommended that you place a blank sheet behind the image you are coloring to prevent ink bleed (and maybe even 2 sheets if you are using alcohol markers).
