Youth Mediations and Affective Relations explores dynamic and expansive possibilities of young people’s affective lives as they engage with diverse social media in prolific and specific ways. It addresses the situated embodied and emotional experiences of young people as they actively use media in order to forge communities, play imaginatively, protest injustice, experiment with their identities, make media or explore friendships. Furthermore, it explores the relational and contextual dimensions of their everyday interactions. Against static knowledge and moral panics that abstract youth from the complex and changing worlds in which they grapple with digital media, this book hones in on the layered textures of youth experiences to consider how today’s youth think and feel in subtle and unexpected ways.

The lack of coordination causes manufacturing cost, inventory cost, replenishment lead time, transportation cost and labour cost to increase and the level of product availability and profitability to reduce. This research work has been aimed at understanding the gap between the expectations and performance on different attributes of Logistics and Supply Chain Management adopted at different the stages in the supply chain viz., by customers, retailers, suppliers and transporters in Kerala. The study is also aimed at understanding the level of implementation of latest concepts in supply chain management among the different entities.

Place

Place: Local Knowledge and New Media Practice explores tensions between global cosmopolitanism and local practices in the new media environment. This edited collection of work by practitioners and scholars emphasises political issues raised by artists working in an indigenous cultural setting. Indigenous epistemologies provide sophisticated structures for negotiating belonging among communities who may become widely dispersed from their homelands. New media, by contrast, demonstrates biases toward the the dislocated: a cosmopolitanism implicitly located in the urban, where communities form and fragment in “virtual” environments. Nonetheless, questions of belonging and identification remain for those of us who use new media networks. Through analysis of a range of contemporary art and film projects, and tracking recent developments in cultural theory, the book provides diverse perspectives on how long-held attachments to place are transforming in the new media context.
