The book examines Rivera as a prolific and imaginative illustrator of books, magazines, newspapers and posters that skillfully moved in all the predominant art styles of his time: from the late romantic realism, through cubism, mexicanism, indigenism, surrealism, the allegoric prehispanic representation to neorealism. This new modified edition includes works recently located in private collections not includes in the previous one.

Kati Horna
"On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of photographer Kati Horna, the Museo Amparo in Puebla has organized an exhibition of her work, scheduled to travel later to the Jeu de Paume in Paris and the Palau de la Virreina in Barcelona. The catalogue-book of the exhibition, published under a joint imprint with Editorial RM, represents a recognition of Horna's photographic career and is the first adequate single-volume treatment of her work. The book traces Kati Horna's steps from Budapest to Paris, Spain, and Mexico, following the career of a cosmopolitan figure in the twentieth-century avant-garde. It contains essays by Péter Baki, Jean-François Chevrier, Estrella de Diego, Juan Manuel Bonet, and José Antonio Rodríguez, as well as a chronology of Horna's life drawn up by Ángeles Alonso, a text by her daughter Norah Horna, and documentary material from her personal archive. The reproductions in the book, representative of all the genres practiced by Kati Horna, include hitherto unpublished images"--Publisher's website.

Casa O'Gorman 1929
After seven months of restoration, and a hard management for its purchase, the House of Juan O'Gorman projected in 1929 will reopen its doors in 2016. Located in front of the former Hacienda de Goicochea (today San Ángel Inn restaurant) was built in what was the tennis courts of the estate, lands acquired by Juan O'Gorman with the payment of fees for his collaborations with Carlos Obregón Santacilia. Completed in 1929, it is considered as 'the first functionalist home' in Mexico, in whichintentionally simplifies the naked use of concrete slabs and makes the slenderness of the posts look, evoking the "Maisons domino" of Le Corbusier (1914).
