Someday is a story of hope and illusion. After years of drought and despair during The Great Depression on the prairies, spring rains bring optimism. Then war clouds threaten. Katie and Mike's dreams kept them working apart. Would their love bring them together ? The Second World War darkened their world. Could they survive ? This is a love story set in the 1930's on the prairies. Someday is a part of our heritage, a historical romance. Someday is a deeply moving love story. The author brilliantly draws the reader into the scenes with her powerful descriptive prose. The story is written with deep empathy for the characters.
And The Tide Came In is a little book of short stories about relationships. Slices of life, character sketches, love triangles, family trials, breakups and different cultures. Eileen is an incredibly sensual writer. Her first medium was Art. She told people's stories with a paintbrush. Later in her life, she turned to Writing. And she painted their stories with words. The characters jump off the page and into your heart.
This index has been compiled as a quick reference guide to biographies of 9,052 professional and amateur artists active in Canada from the seventeenth century to the present. The artists represent 42 professional categories, from animation to topography. In addition to 8,261 Canadian artists, the Index has 391 British, 300 American, and 100 European artists, all of whom spent part of their careers in Canada. Each entry provides the artist's name, date and place of birth and death (or years the artist flourished, if birth and death dates are not available), the nationality (if not Canadian), type of artist (major medium media used), and sources in which biographical information may be found. Several hundred cross-references link the various names used by some artists during the course of their careers.
