He was a pioneer in the settlement of five different areas located in Utah, Nevada and Arizona. One of these areas was Orderville, where he lived as part of the Orderville United Order. From there he filled a proselyting mission to England, and several years after his return, he retired from Orderville because of the problems there. This time he settled in Gila Valley, Arizona, helping found Thatcher. Includes appendices of some family history and family connections.
