"A Clínica das Neuroses" teve como objetivo realizar uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o assunto, em especial nas obras de Freud, na busca da compreensão dos fatores que apontam para a neurose, e, posteriormente, mostrar a compreensão desses fenômenos na atualidade, em que a relevância da psicanálise encontra-se no contexto de uma época que definiu o diagnóstico e a direção de tratamento para as neuroses e psicoses. Contrapondo-se ao sujeito contemporâneo, o sujeito da psicanálise é o sujeito do desejo. Desde sua criação, a psicanálise trata do mal-estar. Na atualidade, os psicanalistas podem e devem trabalhar considerando uma sociedade caracterizada pela pressa, evanescência nas relações, imediatismo e individualismo. Então, destacamos esse sujeito que, envolto em sofrimento, por vezes explode em irritação, compulsão e qualquer forma explosiva, para em ato descarregar a dor de existir. Ao não considerar suas fraquezas e faltas, o sujeito narcísico adoece. Desse modo nos deparamos com a grande necessidade de tratamento na clínica psicanalítica, na clínica das neuroses.
Nanostructured Materials
There continues to be a worldwide interest in the size-dependent properties of nanostructured materials and their applications in many diverse fields such as catalysis, sensors, energy conversion processes, and biomedicine to name a few. The eleven chapters of this book written by different researchers include four chapters on the different methods of fabrication of specific materials followed by characterization of their properties, and the remaining seven chapters focusing on the fabrications and applications including three chapters on biomedical applications, two chapters on sensors, one chapter on solar cells, and one chapter on the use of nanoparticles in herbicides. These chapters provide up-to-date reviews useful for current and future researchers in these specific areas.
Vascular Diseases for the Non-Specialist
This book aims to provide non-specialist healthcare practitioners with current, focused and objective information on the most common vascular diseases encountered in daily clinical practice. In day-to-day clinical practice many healthcare practitioners do not have a working knowledge of the most common vascular diseases that frequently arise in patient care. Some of these topics include: aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot, venous thromboembolism, cerebrovascular disease, aortic dissection, and acute limb ischemia. These commonly encountered vascular diseases are becoming public health issues due to their high morbidity and mortality as well as increasing healthcare costs. Since patients with vascular diseases are often referred to non-specialists, the general practitioner must know how to proper handle the most common vascular diseases encountered in daily clinical practice. For each disease the concept, epidemiology, natural history, diagnosis and treatment are described, followed by essential advice on what the non-specialist can do for the patient and when to refer the patient to a specialist.
Emerging Trends in ICT Security
Lack of security is a constant concern in open distributed systems. Because of this problem, many tools for evaluating vulnerabilities of networks, as well as for their protection, are being developed and largely deployed; for example, techniques for encryption, antivirus, firewall, and IDSs (Intrusion Detection Systems). Among these, there are IDSs that are increasingly conceived, designed, and implemented. Currently, IDSs are created using software agents. Although IDSs can provide intrusion detection and countermeasures against threats, they are subjected to attacks. Thus, it is necessary to ensure security for IDSs. This chapter proposes a framework for providing self-security, self-reliability of message exchange, self-reliability of components, and self-integrity for IDSs based on agents. The proposed solution is implemented as an extension of the IDS-NIDIA (Network Intrusion Detection System Based on Intelligent Agents), whose architecture has an intelligent agent society that communicates in a cooperative way in a distributed environment. Some tests show the applicability of the proposed solution.
