Spectroscopic Imaging and Chemometrics for the characterization of materials of artistic and cultural interest
This Volume collects all the dissemination contributions presented at the Christmas Workshop devoted to chemometric analysis for the processing of experimental data, with particular reference to spectroscopic imaging. The training objective was achieved and all the participants were provided with the necessary technical supports and software needed to follow the lessons and demonstration exercises held by expert teachers in multivariate analysis. The lectures addressed the topic of caring and preserving environmental and cultural heritages, highlighting the importance of diagnostics, the use of integrated and innovative techniques, and advanced statistic for data interpretation. Overall, the Volume is the results of the synergistic cooperation between different disciplines, too surreptitiously classified into humanities and technical-scientific.
Urban Transformations in the Late Antique West: Materials, Agents, and Models
This volume is the fruit of a highly productive international research gathering academic and professional (field- and museum) colleagues to discuss new results and approaches, recent finds and alternative theoretical assessments of the period of transition and transformation of classical towns in Late Antiquity. Experts from an array of modern countries attended and presented to help compare and contrast critically archaeologies of diverse regions and to debate the qualities of the archaeology and the current modes of study. While a number of papers inevitably focused on evidence available for both Spain and Portugal, we were delighted to have a spread of contributions that extended the picture to other territories in the Late Roman West and Mediterranean. The emphasis was very much on the images presented by archaeology (rescue and research works, recent and past), but textual data were also brought into play by various contributors.
Crimes in the Past: Archaeological and Anthropological Evidence
This book discusses examples of crime scenes in the archaeological past, their detection and interpretation with the help of modern science; readers will find cases of historic and prehistoric ‘crimes scenes’ known from various contexts: (pre)historic (mass) graves, lethal violent acts related to warfare, ritual killings, or possible murder cases.

Servire per cambiare vite
L’idea di raccogliere in un libro tutte le lettere che ogni Governatore invia ai Presidenti di Club del suo Distretto è maturata nel corso dei numerosi incontri (dei quali buona parte in video conferenza) dove si è discusso sulle strategie comuni da mettere in atto per rendere il Rotary sempre più efficiente e presente sul territorio. Ciò è stato favorito anche dalla totale sintonia che si è creata tra tutti i Governatori dell’anno rotariano 2021-2022 nel proporre progetti, iniziative e modalità di comunicazione rivolte a supportare il lavoro dei Distretti e dei Club.
