Transnationale persönliche Beziehungen in der Migration
Eveline Reisenauer untersucht die Herausbildung von transnationalen persönlichen Beziehungen im Zuge von Migrationsprozessen. Anhand von qualitativen Interviews mit türkischen Migrantinnen und Migranten in Deutschland zeichnet sie nach, wie sich Sozialbeziehungen unter Bedingungen geografischer Distanz und über nationalstaatliche Grenzen hinweg gestalten. Bei Wanderungsbewegungen werden Familienmitglieder, Verwandte oder Freunde im Auswanderungsland zurückgelassen. Diese physische Separation von Bezugspersonen geht allerdings nicht notwendigerweise mit dem Bedeutungsverlust von bestehenden Beziehungen einher. Die Befunde der Autorin zu transnationalen persönlichen Beziehungen sprechen eher für eine komplexe Interdependenz von Sozialität und Räumlichkeit. Ebenso wenig wie räumliche Nähe bereits soziale Nähe stiftet, geht räumliche Distanz mit einer sozialen Distanz einher.
