BATIK IKAT CELUP Pemanfaatan Pewarna Alami Tanaman Sekolah
Bermula dari ide sederhana rencana pelatihan membuat batik ikat celup untuk siswa kelas tinggi bersumber dari permasalahan rendahnya nilai kreatif. Berbagai potensi yang ada di sekolah ternyata memberikan kontribusi sehingga program tersebut dapat terlaksana dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Berbagai tanaman yang tumbuh di sekitar sekolah memberikan nilai tambah yang semakin menggali potensi lokal untuk melatih siswa berwirausaha. Aspek kewirausahaan, khususnya karya seni kriya, ternyata dapat dilakukan dan produknya bernilai jual. Maka cukup penting untuk menuangkan pengalaman mendesain projek kepemimpinan ini dalam bentuk teks literasi. Projek pelatihan membuat batik ikat celup ini sudah dilaksanakan dengan sungguh-sungguh dengan konsep yang masih sederhana. Harapannya adalah praktik projek semacam ini dapat terus dilanjutkan oleh berbagai pihak di lingkup sekolah, komunitas, atau masyarakat yang bernilai karakter membidik jiwa wirausaha, kepekaan pada potensi lokal, dan kecintaan pada pelestarian budaya Indonesia.

Melalui aktivitas literasi, seseorang bisa melatih pikiran secara kompleks. Mulai dari tahap menemukan ide, menentukan sudut pandang, hingga aspek-aspek detil dari sebuah naskah, seseorang mengalami proses asah pikir dan olah rasa yang bisa membuat wawasannya bertambah. Apalagi jika yang ditulis adalah naskah fiksi. Sebuah cerita tidak hanya menyampaikan kisah, namun juga menyimpan makna. Sesungguhnya dalam setiap cerita, seorang penulis mewujudkan gagasannya dalam sebuah dunia yang ia ciptakan. Menulis cerita membuat seseorang bisa mencurahkan isi hati dan pikiran, melatih kreativitas dan memberikan sudut pandang alternatif, serta memberi karya nyata. Buku ini merupakan kumpulan cerita ditulis oleh para siswa SMP Al Muslim Jawa Timur yang merupakan salah satu hasil pembelajaran di sekolah. Apresiasi terhebat untuk siswa siswi kelas IX yang tangguh, karena kondisi pandemi tidak menyurutkan semangat menuangkan ide gagasan, pengalaman dan imajinasinya. Selamat membaca.
