A washed-up music producer hatches a desperate get-rich-quick scheme that finds him on an airplane headed for Boise … with an extended layover in the unexplored and dangerous realms of the afterlife. “… an absolutely winning story, a rousing, funny, and surprisingly moving tale ... Readers won’t want the novel to end.” — Kirkus Reviews (starred review) Thanks to a rickety 747 past its prime, Jensen Bennett has found himself in the afterlife. Normally this wouldn’t be great news for a guy trying to get his life back on track, but thankfully for Jensen, the hereafter just so happens to be the brand-new home of recently deceased rock star Hedley Grange – the only one who knows the earthly location of a lost, unreleased rock ‘n’ roll album worth millions. Can Jensen find Grange in the spirit world before a doctor vacationing near the crash site revives him for good and his last chance at happiness disappears into the afterlife forever?
With the recent increase in available computing power, new computations are possible in many areas of arithmetic geometry. To name just a few examples, Cremona's tables of elliptic curves now go up to conductor 120,000 instead of just conductor 1,000, tables of Hilbert class fields are known for discriminant up to at least 5,000, and special values of Hilbert and Siegel modular forms can be calculated to extremely high precision. In many cases, these experimental capabilities haveled to new observations and ideas for progress in the field. They have also led to natural algorithmic questions on the feasibility and efficiency of many computations, especially for the purpose of applications in cryptography. The AMS Special Session on Computational Arithmetic Geometry, held onApril 29-30, 2006, in San Francisco, CA, gathered together many of the people currently working on the computational and algorithmic aspects of arithmetic geometry. This volume contains research articles related to talks given at the session. The majority of articles are devoted to various aspects of arithmetic geometry, mainly with a computational approach.

Covering the years 1945-2018, this alphabetical listing provides details about 2,923 unaired television series pilots, including those that never went into production, and those that became series but with a different cast, such as The Green Hornet, The Middle and Superman. Rarities include proposed shows starring Bela Lugosi, Doris Day, Humphrey Bogart, Barbara Stanwyck, Orson Welles, Claudette Colbert and Mae West, along with such casting curiosities as Mona Freeman, not Gale Storm, as Margie in My Little Margie, and John Larkin as Perry Mason long before Raymond Burr played the role.
