The book contains 37 papers presented at the ninth edition of the International Conference of Computers, Communications and Control—ICCCC-2022 held in Oradea and Băile Felix, Romania. A balanced selection of both methodological and application-oriented papers has been made to reflect several recent worldwide trends and results. The book is organized into five sections: a) integrated solutions in computer-based control, b) advanced control systems integrating computers and communications, c) soft computing including fuzzy system approach, d) decision making and support systems, and e) trustworthy and green design. The study of the papers contained in the book is useful for researchers, consultants, and postgraduate students in computer science and design, applied informatics, control systems, and industrial engineering. The book is also used as auxiliary material for student-level courses such as artificial intelligence, computational intelligence, and decision support systems.
"I've been a scoundrel, a thief, a blackmailer and a whore, but never a murderer. Until now..." The year is 1929. As the world teeters on the brink of a global recession, Bletchley Park plays host to a rather special event. MI5 is celebrating its twentieth anniversary and a select band of former and current employees are gathering at the private estate for a weekend of music, dance and heavy drinking. Among them is Sir Hilary Manningham-Butler, a middle aged woman whose entire adult life has been spent masquerading as a man. She doesn't know why she has been invited – it is many years since she left the secret service – but it is clear she is not the only one with things to hide. And whe...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th Iberoamerican Congress on Pattern Recognition, CIARP 2011, held in Pucón, Chile, in November 2011. The 81 revised full papers presented together with 3 keynotes were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. Topics of interest covered are image processing, restoration and segmentation; computer vision; clustering and artificial intelligence; pattern recognition and classification; applications of pattern recognition; and Chilean Workshop on Pattern Recognition.

This book is a groundbreaking exploration of the historical and contemporary challenges in systems collaboration and integration. This exceptional book delves into engineering design, planning, control, and management, offering invaluable insights into the evolving nature of systems and networks. In an era defined by the ongoing cyber and digital transformation, coupled with artificial intelligence and machine learning, this book offers insights into the future of systems collaboration and integration. Over the past three decades, the PRISM Center and its affiliated PRISM Global Research Network (PGRN) have spearheaded pioneering theories, technologies, and applications in the realm of systems collaboration and integration. Their research, driven by the motto “Knowledge through information; Wisdom through collaboration,” has yielded remarkable advancements. Those achievements and papers presented and updated by the PGRN scholars in the 26th ICPR are included in this book.
IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society Body of Knowledge (TEMSBOK) IEEE TEMS Board of Directors-approved body of knowledge dedicated to technology and engineering management The IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society Body of Knowledge (TEMSBOK) establishes a set of common practices for technology and engineering management, acts as a reference for entrepreneurs, establishes a basis for future official certifications, and summarizes the literature on the management field in order to publish reference documentation for new initiatives. The editors have used a template approach with authors that instructed them on how to introduce their manuscript, how to organize the te...
